Procurement Compliance Specialist

Job Description

Job Summary: The Procurement Compliance Specialist is a member of the North

\n

America Procurement Operations Team. Your main responsibility is to ensure

\n

procurement team compliance with internal Bel policies, industry standards, and

\n

procurement best practices. You will promote compliance by 1) communicating

\n

directly with vendors and internal cross-functional parters, 2) managing KPI data,

\n

and 3) educating and training stakeholders.

\n

\n

Responsibilities:

\n

\n

● Policy expertise: Serve as subject matter expert for procurement

\n

aspects of Bel policies governing: procurement practices, supplier

\n

quality, legal compliance and Corporate Social Responsibility

\n

commitments.

\n

● Defect management: Own supplier communication regarding

\n

material defects: Coordinate strategy with buyers. Coordinate root

\n

cause analysis conversations with quality. Coordinate claims prep and

\n

timely recovery.

\n

● Qualification: Coordinate sample request process: Liaise between

\n

buyer, supplier, R&D, regulatory, collect and share Supplier Quality Food

\n

Safety documentation (specification form, Certificate of Analysis, risk

\n

assessment, etc).

\n

● Documentation: Collect food safety qualification documentation, coordinate assessment

\n

with quality and regulatory, maintain document repositories, and

\n

monitor/update expired documentation.

\n

● Maintain and track legal document repository (contracts,

\n

non-disclosure agreements, etc). Work with legal team to

\n

develop/improve legal templates.

\n

● Collect and maintain documentation related to USMCA (United

\n

States-Mexico-Canada Agreement) compliance for finished good export

\n

to Canada.

\n

● Relationships: Will have strong relationships with local and corporate

\n

purchasing and cross-functional teams (especially quality, supply chain,

\n

finance, and legal).

\n

● Performance: Coordinate and/or track supplier audits, supplier

\n

evaluations and Corporate Social Responsibility metrics. Support

\n

category leads for business & supplier performance reviews and

\n

reporting.

\n

● Training: Write process instructions to support adherence to policy.

\n

Lead and track training sessions for procurement and cross-functional

\n

teams.

\n

● Other: Participate actively in the purchasing community.

\n

● In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, the employee may be

\n

assigned other duties as needed to support the needs of the

\n

department and organization

\n

\n

Experience:

\n

\n

● Bachelor's degree in Procurement Management, Business Administration,

\n

Quality Management, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred

\n

● Equivalent of 5 years of relevant work experience in a similar role

\n

● Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Power Point, Teams, SharePoint)

\n

● Preferred experience with SAP, PowerBI,or equivalent

\n

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

\n

\n

● Physical requirements & Working Conditions: Work is performed in hybrid

\n

office environment. Hours of work will generally be during regular business

\n

hours and average at least 40 hours a week. At times there will be some

\n

variation in work hours due to special projects, deadlines and other

\n

concerns. This position requires travel approximately 25% of time.
