The Landscape Technician is responsible for maintaining the Camp-Resort's countryside and landscaping, clearing away debris to keep the environment safe and secure. The beautiful appearance of our landscapes is one of our most prized assets. So these employees must take great pride in their work! This is a seasonal, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Facilities Manager.Duties & ResponsibilitiesGeneral Duties Monitor and maintain the condition of the Camp-Resort's property, and equipmentRespond to maintenance requests promptlyInteract with guests to solve problems, answer questions and provide general customer service.General landscaping tasks such as: Trimming and pruning of trees/ bushesMowing lawns, including string-trimming, edging and blowingPerform seasonal yard cleanups, removing yard debris and leavesLawn fertilization and weed controlOther Essential Duties Regularly update Facilities Manager on the status of the Resort's grounds as a wholeAssist in planning and executing landscape projects from start to finishParticipate in other projects and activities as assignedComplete jobs within the guidelines of OSHA compliance standardsEducation/Training/ExperienceGeneral landscape maintenance and grounds-keeping services preferredQualifications/RequirementsBasic computer skillsExcellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail, speed, and accuracyAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentStrong work ethic and a positive attitudeRequired to work nights, weekends, and holidaysWork with minimal supervisionMaintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and managementValid driver's licenseEssential Physical DemandsAble to lift up to 80 lbsMust be able to remain in a stationary positionRegularly move throughout the parkContinuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawlAble to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.Constant exposure to outside weather conditionsNorthgate provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
