Payroll Specialist

LHH has an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified Payroll Specialist to support our client on a temp-to-perm basis. This position will begin fully onsite for training and transition to a hybrid schedule in our client's Downtown Brooklyn office. Responsibilities:

• Process biweekly payroll for 500+ employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Review timesheets, earnings, deductions, and employee records; research and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Process new hires, terminations, salary changes, garnishments, and other payroll updates
• Prepare payroll reconciliations, payroll-related journal entries, and supporting reports
• Assist with month-end close, audit requests, and payroll compliance activities
• Partner with HR and Accounting to maintain accurate employee data and support payroll operations

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required
• Experience with ADP, UKG, Paycom, Workday, or similar payroll systems
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred

$30-38/hr

Pay Details: $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
