Field Clinical Specialist, NYC/Long Island - Transcatheter Heart Valve

About the Role Field Clinical Specialists are critical partners in delivering patient‑focused innovations, partnering with clinical professionals and training them on using Edwards’ transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) products. They will provide expert guidance on device use, empower physicians and staff to achieve proficiency, and support positive patient outcomes across a broad territory. Key Responsibilities Travel frequently within the assigned territory to conduct clinical training on THV technology. Perform valve crimping, case management, pre‑case planning, post‑case management, and 3Mensio management. Validate software and hardware updates in the field and implement sales and educational materials for clinicians. Plan and execute growth strategies in partnership with Sales Management and develop clinical champions for THV products. Collaborate with clinicians to deliver training sessions, driving utilization of Edwards’ THV portfolio. Attend implant procedures, conduct device preparation and crimping of Sapien valves, and support physicians throughout the THV procedure. Handle complaints as needed and provide support for cases outside the assigned region on an as‑needed basis. Partner with Territory Managers to develop selection criteria for sites and plan physician and support‑staff trainings. Assist in the development of the THV procedure in both cardiology and surgery settings. Required Qualifications Associate’s degree or equivalent in nursing or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Five (5) years of experience in a related medical device, THV/TVAR, cath lab, or acute‑care clinical environment. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications Experience in education and training within a clinical setting. Clinical skills in cardiac surgery or interventional cardiology. Sales skill‑set that includes drive, self‑motivation, interpersonal and communication skills, planning, organization, closing, and delivery. Ability to travel extensively (approximately 60‑70%) and switch between technical and sales responsibilities. Experience as a medically trained technician or nurse. Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing with cardiologists, support staff, and sales teams. Entrepreneurial spirit with competitive drive and a strong work ethic. Initiative, follow‑through, and collaboration across functions, beyond clinical specialist duties. Benefits and Compensation Competitive salaries with performance‑based incentives.
