Required Skills

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Valid medical license to practice in Virginia
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Proven experience managing obstetric cases and labor/delivery
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience working in a hospitalist or OB hospitalist role
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• BLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and other relevant certifications
• Flexible scheduling or recent locum experience

Preferred Education and Experience

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
• At least 2 years of OB hospitalist experience in a hospital setting
• Active Virginia medical license or the ability to obtain one quickly

Other Requirements

• Must hold or be able to obtain applicable state medical licenses and certifications
• Willingness to travel to Chesapeake, VA, as required
• Commitment to maintaining compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and hospital policies
