Staff Accountant

Use enterprise accounting applications for accurate and timely financial report preparation. Develop and post journal entries. Provide general account reconciliation and prepare adjusting journal entries. Prepare required headings in chart of accounts and verify entries are made in proper accounts. Ensure account receivables and payables process are completed in timely manner. Analyze accounting records and financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Recognize and report revenues when earned and expenses when incurred and assist in preparing cost/revenue accruals. Analyze international trade with offshore branches to track revenue, expenses and foreign investment including processing, accepting payments and monitoring financial risk. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. Compile statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses. Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas; ensure US GAAP standard is followed properly. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Under general supervision of licensed CPA, analyze financial information and prepare reports to help the CPA maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss and other financial activities of the company; investigate discrepancies in accounts and reconciliations; prepare and distribute reports to keep management informed of current status of company; prepare proper accruals (revenue and expense) to ensure the recognition of revenue and expense in the proper period; work with internal and external auditors to provide required information on a timely basis; record journal entries for payroll and other transactions including adding appropriate GL accounts to properly reflect the business activity; work with external vendors and customers to ensure all transactions are properly recorded; evaluate, audit and maintain accounts and transactions to ensure GAAP compliance; review financial data and assigned entries and apply accounting control measures to proper accounts as designed by the Finance and Accounting Manager; and examine, analyze, and reconcile accounting records, financial statements, budget records, and other documentation to assess their accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting standards by using enterprise accounting applications and related tools.

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree); Two (2) years of experience as an Accountant, Financial Analyst, Budget Analyst or in a related occupation. Experience must include two (2) years of work with enterprise accounting applications.
