Description

Seeking a highly experienced, organized, and motivated individual to join our reputable, fast-growing property management company headquartered in Southfield, MI as an on-site staff accountant.

Responsibilities include:

Monthly accounting for residential rental properties including but not limited to bank reconciliation, journal entries and accruals, and evaluation of purchases for capitalization vs expense
Evaluation and analysis of financial reports
Annual tax workpaper preparation and special projects as needed

Requirements

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and knowledge of US GAAP. Prior accounting experience required.

Other requirements:

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
Proficiency in MRI a plus or similar property management software preferred
Residential or Commercial real estate experience preferred
