2027 Staff Accountant Intern

Position Summary Novogradac is hiring Staff Accountant Interns for busy season 2027 (January‑March 2027). This internship program exposes future leaders of public accounting to partners, business operations and client service, with assignments in audit, tax preparation and research. Contributions & Responsibilities Complete tax and/or audit engagements for designated clients as directed by Supervisor or Manager. Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements. Conduct business‑specific research – gather and analyze data, interpret results, compile reports and make recommendations to principals and partners. Develop effective client relationships through professionalism and follow‑through. Other duties and projects as assigned. Background & Skills Working toward a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (degree is a plus or relevant work experience). GPA of 3.20 or higher. Completion of at least one Intermediate Accounting course and on track to sit for the CPA examination (preferred). Basic understanding of accounting and tax rules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Accurate, time‑efficient work with strong attention to detail, organization and follow‑through. Ability to work under close supervision, accept constructive feedback and adjust as directed. Team‑oriented collaboration with colleagues and clients. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and report writing tools. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $27 per hour with continuous review of market conditions.
