Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver exceptional maternity services.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess fetal and maternal conditions to monitor labor progress and identify complications.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and interventions as per physician orders and protocols.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in patient status during labor.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to coordinate care.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Hold an active RN license in good standing.
  
  
• 
  Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required.
  
  
• 
  Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred.
  
  
• 
  Knowledge of pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia, diabetes, and preterm labor.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work variable shifts including holidays.
