The Senior Staff Accountant will support the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining general ledger integrity, and assisting with month-end close processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and post journal entries by reviewing financial activity and translating business transactions into accurate general ledger recordsReview of general ledger transactions for accuracyConduct account reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, general ledger and intercompany accounts to achieve financial accuracyReconciliation of detailed benefits invoicesAnalysis of 401k records to ensure compliance with the planFormatting of financial reports for review by senior managementAccount analysis and review of results to identify variances or unusual trendsAnalyze financial transactions, investigate discrepancies, and apply appropriate accounting treatmentSupport budgeting activities, analysis of budget to actual resultsCollaborate with other departments to ensure efficient data flow and resolve discrepanciesMaintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.Support audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.Prepare and file periodic sales tax and other taxes required timely in each state.Perform additional tasks and support as neededWhat You Will Bring:CPA or CPA Candidate2-4 years of public accounting experienceKnowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting practicesComfortable operating in a fast-moving, multi-task environmentStrong attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling numerical data.Thorough understanding of general ledger, accounting principles and financial terminologyHigh level of numerical accuracy with the ability to perform calculations and work with financial dataExcellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesGood communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendorsProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with Microsoft Teams for communicationPreferred Skills:Experience with WinTeam, Concur, SalesForce/Certinia and Asana is a plus, but not required.Crisis24, A GardaWorld Company is dedicated to equal opportunity in employment.
