Nurse Practitioner - Occupational Health

Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner Full‑time contract opportunity with Yoh’s corporate office / manufacturing client located in Sunnyvale, CA. The clinic offers occupational and preventative care for employees. You will typically be the only provider onsite working alongside nurses. The position involves a focus on the protection of individuals from occupational and environmental hazards, illness and injury prevention, and health promotion. Shift 4/10 schedule Monday‑Thursday around 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. Top Skills You Should Possess Active/unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (ANP/FNP) license in the state of California. Current prescription authority (plus DEA preferred). Minimum of 3 years' experience as a NP. Previous experience in Occupational/Employee Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Corrections, Primary Care, or Family Practice type setting. Responsibilities Assessment, triage, treatment, and education for employee health concerns. Assume overall responsibility for all OSHA program medical requirements (e.g., respiratory protection, hearing conservation). Perform onsite physical assessments (pre‑placement, return‑to‑work, fitness‑for‑duty). Provide ambulatory care such as treating sore throats, ear aches, rashes, pink eye. Review and interpret results and reports, including history/physical, EKG, lab work, spirometry, and audiograms. Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. Collaborate to recognize environmental hazards and stresses in the workplace that may cause sickness or impaired health, and create preventative measures. Support medical surveillance programs (hearing conservation, respiratory protection, visual acuity, bloodborne pathogens, biological monitoring, etc.) in collaboration with EHS. Respond to emergencies onsite and provide emergency medical care as needed. Qualifications Nationally Certified (ANCC or AANP). Current BLS certification. Computer skills with previous experience using EMR (experience with Cority a plus). Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients and interact with clients/employers. Proof of U.S. Citizenship (valid U.S. passport or original U.S. birth certificate) for security clearance/badging.
