Store Manager The store manager leads Mattress Firm’s vision, company initiatives, and achieves sales performance goals by holding associates accountable for the execution of in‑store merchandising in multiple store units. The manager also drives related KPI results, supports the omni‑channel experience, and creates a compelling environment for MFRM team members. New Hire Onboarding and Team Building : Conduct one‑on‑one meetings to understand team motivations and aspirations; develop a comprehensive team "bio book" that evolves with new insights; hold 30‑60‑90‑day check‑ins with new members. Workforce Management : Manage staffing schedules, reconcile punches, and partner with operations to meet staffing levels; ensure policies, appearance standards, and state regulations are followed; represent the company brand in all interactions. Talent Development : Provide technical and product knowledge to associates and customers; serve as subject matter expert; analyze reporting to identify skill gaps and coach accordingly. Business Operations and Acumen : Achieve or exceed individual store financial targets through effective execution and customer service; enforce product merchandising, marketing, and POP standards; partner with marketing on social media strategy; manage inventory, cash handling, and invoicing processes; perform store level inventory audits; maintain awareness of competition; execute company initiatives and other assigned activities. Physical Requirements: Stand or sit for 8+ hours; lift, push, or pull 50+ pounds.
