This role emphasizes software and data development such as Python, SQL, automation, AI tools while developing foundational knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and manufacturing systems.Position ProfileFull-time / exemptReporting RelationshipsThe Manufacturing Planning Systems Analyst reports to the Director of Global Operations.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Python-based tools and scripts to support production planning and reportingWrite and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from ERP and related systemsBuild data pipelines and lightweight applications to automate manual planning and reporting tasksEnsure data accuracy and reliability across multiple systems and sourcesSupport development of AI-assisted tools or agent-based workflows for planning and decision supportIdentify opportunities to reduce manual work using automation, scripting, or AI toolsAssist in prototyping decision-support tools for planners such as scenario analysis, alerts, and schedule recommendationsLearn and support production planning and scheduling processesMaintain forecast and planning data within ERP and supporting systemsPartner with operations and planning teams to understand workflows and translate needs into technical solutionsAnalyze the impact of demand changes, capacity constraints, and production performance trendsBuild and maintain dashboards, reports, and models to track production performance, capacity utilization, and forecast vs actual performanceSupport root cause analysis of production issues using dataMaintains regular and reliable attendance.Upholds and adheres to the Tosoh SMD culture and Guiding Principles.Exhibits positivity and flexibility when assigned a new task or project.Understands and adheres to all safety requirements.
