We’ll train you on everything, including food safety and kitchen cleanliness, and help you grow your skills along the way. Essential Job Functions Correctly prepare all foods served following standard recipes, working on several different orders simultaneously. Restock food items and kitchen supplies; store and rotate food properly and safely. Operate cooking equipment. Comply with all established standards, including personal safety, food safety, sanitation, personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform. Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques. Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment, cooking surfaces and utensils used in food preparation. Physical Requirements Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds, but also lift up to 55 pounds. Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Involves some repetitive motion tasks. Requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. Work Environment Kitchen environment with equipment such as a char broiler, flat grill, slicer, and chef’s knives; frequently exposed to heat, steam, fire, and noise. Skills and Knowledge Requirements Basic math, reading, and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment. Excellent teamwork attitude. Minimum Requirements 1 year of experience in a related food service position preferred. Food Handler’s Card/Certification may be required according to local and/or state regulations.
