As a Security Officer Access Control in Coopersville, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a retail and mall location, you will help maintain a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access, and assisting visitors, employees, and tenants with professionalism. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, communicate clearly, and support routine site operations. Pay Rate: $17.99 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, shoppers, and/or employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions.
• Operate access-control systems, surveillance equipment, and communication devices in accordance with established procedures, reporting equipment issues or security-related concerns to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
