Events Coordinator

The Events Coordinator works with the Campus Pastor and Campus Administrator to create meaningful, high-impact experiences by planning and executing engaging campus events that bring people together, strengthen community, and support seeing people transformed by Jesus!

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan and execute impactful campus events throughout the year, including but not limited to Easter, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, baptisms, and other special experiences that engage and serve the church community. Collaborate with the Campus Admin to coordinate staff schedules, volunteer assignments, and event logistics for baptisms, Week of Prayer, and other campus events. Partner with the Campus Admin to develop and maintain the annual campus events calendar, ensuring clear communication, organization, and preparation for all major events. Provide administrative and creative support for campus initiatives, projects, and event-related needs as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required] Active follower of Jesus, committed to the culture and values of VLC.
• REQUIRED] Prior experience in event planning, decorating, or designing.

Strong organizational skills Basic computer and smartphone skills for checklists and work orders. Maintain a steady daily pace with high attention to detail; works with minimal supervision. Communicate clearly with supervisor and team; collaborative “humble, hungry, smart” teammate.

SALARY STATEMENT

Compensation for this position is generally structured around $17.00 per hour. Depending on a candidate’s experience and qualifications, the final offer may be above or below this amount, subject to pre-established budgetary constraints.

WORK SCHEDULE

Estimated 20 hours per week Sunday 7 am - 11 pm, Wednesday 5 pm - 8:30 pm, Flexible work hours Monday–Thursday Physical Demands and Working Conditions This position requires moderate physical activity, including regularly lifting and carrying 25–35 pounds, as well as frequent standing, walking, bending, and squatting. The role involves active engagement in both structured and dynamic settings, requiring attentiveness, mobility, and the ability to respond quickly. Work is primarily indoors, with occasional outdoor activities, and involves exposure to moderate noise levels.
