Senior Paralegal

Job Description Job Description Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Primary Job Duties Organize, track, build, and maintain case files. Prepare standard Judicial Council forms, pleadings, declarations, trial briefs and binders, exhibit binders, reports, correspondence, and spreadsheets. Maintain contact with opposing parties, counsel, and clients. Prepare and respond to discovery, which includes demand for the production of documents, interrogatories, requests for admissions, and subpoenas. Maintain a calendar to track deadlines in accordance with the Code of Civil Procedure, Family Law Codes, and the Rules of Court. Schedule client appointments, monitor calendars, and keep attorneys and clients informed of scheduled court dates. Assist attorneys with hearing and trial preparation. Perform miscellaneous job duties related to the position including potential new client intake, answering phones, and collections as needed. Education/Experience Certificate in Paralegal Studies required. Minimum of 10 years of paralegal experience, 7 years of family law experience is preferable. Thorough knowledge of legal principles and practices. Must possess critical thinking skills, planning, and organizing skills. Strong communication skills and writing skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Proficient in Word Perfect, Microsoft Office, Essential Forms, Google Calendar, and knowledge of TimeSolv is preferable. Ability to handle multiple cases and job duties effectively and efficiently.
