Litigation Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney in Worthington, Ohio. Responsibilities Represent clients in contested family law matters from commencement through resolution. Regularly appear in court for hearings, conferences, trials, and other legal proceedings. Develop and execute litigation strategies designed to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Effectively articulate legal concepts through strong verbal and written communication with clients, opposing counsel, and the court. Prepare cases for hearings and trial through thorough legal research, factual analysis, and strategic planning. Maintain strong client relationships through professionalism, responsiveness, and clear communication. Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff while utilizing the firm's technology and established systems to efficiently manage cases. Take ownership of assigned matters while continuing to develop litigation and trial advocacy skills. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Licensed to practice law in Ohio. Minimum of three (3) years of litigation experience required; family law experience preferred. Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills. Excellent legal writing, analytical, and negotiation abilities. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and producing high-quality work. Highly organized with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities. Motivated to continue developing as a trial attorney and committed to professional growth. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Ohio. Skills Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills. Excellent legal writing, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
