Key responsibilities include: Core Responsibilities Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections. Measure and inspect parts using calipers, tape measures, and other inspection tools. Verify compliance with customer specifications, blueprints, tolerances, and company quality standards. Ensure adherence to ISO procedures and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements. Document quality issues, corrective actions, and inspection results. Investigate customer quality complaints and help implement solutions. Conduct daily quality audits throughout fabrication, paint, and shipping areas. Manage calibration systems and Engineering Change Request (ECR) processes. Support continuous improvement initiatives, 6S efforts, and employee training. Required Experience & Skills High school diploma or equivalent. 3–5 years of quality inspection experience in the metal fabrication industry. Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills. Understanding of metals, plastics, hardware, and manufacturing processes. Ability to analyze specifications and tolerances. Strong math, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting abilities. Experience with Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Physical & Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, vibration, and moving equipment. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, bending, and handling materials. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Use of PPE including safety glasses, steel‑toed boots, hearing protection, gloves, etc. Standard 40‑hour workweek with occasional mandatory overtime.
