About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Urgent Care PA in North Carolina!

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 90-day locum tenens assignment with our client in North Carolina, starting Aug 17, 2026. This role involves seeing urgent care patients of all ages as the sole provider, handling a high volume of cases, and performing minor procedures such as incision and drainage, laceration repair, and ear irrigation.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform required procedures including incision and drainage (I&D), laceration repair, and ear irrigation.
• Provide care for adult and pediatric patients, from 6 months of age and up.
• Manage urgent care cases for both adults and pediatrics.
• Handle a high volume of patient care, seeing an average of 40 to up to 60 patients per day.
• Function as the sole provider in the center for all patient visits.
• Utilize EPIC EMR efficiently for all patient encounters.

Additional Information

• Required Board Certification: Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP)
• EMR System: Epic
• Minimum of 12 months of experience required
