Registered Nurse - Moderate Sedation

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a fast-paced procedural area specializing in moderate sedation for patients undergoing preventative and interventional stroke care. The RN will be responsible for ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the sedation process.

Responsibilities

• Administer moderate sedation and closely monitor the patient's cardiac and physical status.
• Collaborate with physicians to ensure safety, comfort, and privacy during procedures.
• Circulate as needed when not providing moderate sedation.

Schedule

This position offers 36 or 40 hours per week, with shifts of 10 or 12 hours, and includes on-call responsibilities for weekends and nights.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License in New York (NY).
• Experience in moderate sedation and interventional radiology (IR) required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience; experience in a level 1 trauma hospital preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Telemetry experience required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
