About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neuro Medicine ICU Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of two (2) years in ICU acute care License: RN License (NY License ONLY) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills - Ability to remain current in knowledge of critical care - Telemetry experience Description: This position is for a Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit focused on critically ill Neuro patients. Patients may have diagnoses including traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic pathologies. The unit features a brand-new state-of-the-art, 12-bed ICU. Candidates must possess a New York RN License and have a minimum of two years of ICU acute care experience. Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Telemetry experience is required. Candidates should hold current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. The role may involve rotation of shifts, holidays, on-call duties, and charge responsibilities as needed by the unit.
