Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity offers a 13-week contract position as a Pharmacy Technician in Clearwater, FL, with an immediate start or shortly after clearance (approximately 1.5–2 weeks post-offer). The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process prescriptions accurately, including insurance adjudications and resolving claim rejections.
• Prepare, package, and label medications for pharmacist verification.
• Perform data entry, maintain prescription paperwork, and communicate effectively with patients and prescribers.
• Manage inventory through daily cycle counts, restocking, and expiration date reviews.
• Assist with medication returns, quarantines, and destruction protocols.
• Cross-train in various pharmacy operations to support department needs.
• Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, and insurance regulations.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification and an active Florida pharmacy technician license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years pharmacy technician experience; call center experience is a plus.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, providers, and team members.
