About Our Client:
A very well established public accounting firm is committed to technical excellence and high-quality client service. Their experienced team provides accounting, audit, tax, business formation and valuation, M&A planning, financial planning, fraud examination, consulting, and peer review services. They serve a wide range of clients across industries including affordable housing, construction, real estate, employee benefit plans, transportation and logistics, government and municipalities, manufacturing, healthcare practices, not-for-profits, retail/distribution, and public school districts. In addition, this is an excellent firm who has received multiple recognitions as "The Best Accounting Firms to Work For" and "The Best Places to Work".
For this role, they are seeking an experienced auditor with strong nonprofit/governmental experience and Form 990 knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and perform financial statement and single-audit engagements for nonprofit/government clients.
Supervise staff, review workpapers, and ensure GAAP/GAAS compliance.
Knowledge of Form 990s and advise on nonprofit compliance.
Communicate with clients and support engagement budgeting/scheduling.
Qualifications:
CPA Required
8+ years public accounting experience (nonprofit/government experience preferred).
Experience with Form 990 and single-audit requirements.
Strong supervisory, communication, and client-facing skills.
Willingness to travel regularly across upstate NY.
