Creative Dining Services is looking for Part-Time and Full-Time Seasonal General Food Service Workers to staff the Geneva Camp and Retreat Center for our 2026 camp season. Geneva Camp and Retreat Center is located on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan.

The General Food Service Worker performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving food and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service environments. May assist in set up and service, and in cleaning and collection of garbage/trash, as appropriate to the area of operation.

This is a seasonal summer position from June 2026 through August 2026. Schedule will vary based on guest registrations and will include evenings and weekends.

Core Responsibilities of the General Food Service Worker:

• Sets up food service, kitchen, or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction, in accordance with specific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations; may operate cooking or bakery equipment as assigned.
• Prepares or assists in the preparation of hot and cold meals and beverages.
• Serves food items to campers and staff from counters and/or steam tables, in accordance with specific instructions, ensuring that appropriate portions are served. As needed, replenishes food/condiments, silverware, glassware, dishes, and trays at serving stations.
• May clean and maintain work areas, including floors, facilities, dishes, utensils, and equipment; collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers; as appropriate to the area of operation.
• Washes pots, pans, and other serviceware ensuring sanitary handling; organizes and replaces serviceware to appropriate location.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Basic reading and math skills
• Must be able to communicate and understand primary language(s) use by guests who typically visit the work location
