Overview Bahia Resort Hotel in San Diego, CA, is a 314-room waterfront property on Mission Bay. The hotel is owned by Evans Hotels, LLC. This role is for an experienced Front Office Supervisor in the Bahia Resort Hotel with responsibilities around guest arrivals and departures, coaching associates, and delivering proactive guest service. Responsibilities Welcome guests with a positive, professional appearance and demeanor. Coordinate desk activities to ensure guest services standards are met or exceeded. Coach and develop associates with consistent expectations. Increase return guest percentages by listening to and fulfilling guest needs with care and responsiveness. Contribute to the financial growth of the company by promoting available hotel amenities and facilities. Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest needs are met in a timely manner. Provide excellent customer service when making reservations and use up-selling techniques. Assist guests with disabilities by offering devices and professional assistance when needed. Answer department telephone lines with a friendly, professional tone. Input information into the hotel computer and maintain guest records accurately. Maintain a house bank and adhere to cash handling procedures. Process guest billing via cash, checks, credit cards, and special billing. Provide a safe and secure environment by following safety and emergency procedures. Perform additional duties as directed by leadership. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; two to four years of related experience and/or training. A combination of experience, education, and/or training may substitute for the required experience. Experience running shifts, scheduling, performance management, problem-solving, guest servicing, and day-to-day operations. Experience dealing with the public is preferred (e.g., retail cashier, food service, guest service). Availability to work on weekends and holidays. Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance. Ability to stand, kneel, or squat for prolonged periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
