We are seeking an experienced SF6 Breaker & Switchgear Specialist to join our field operations team supporting utility and substation projects across the state of Florida. This is a hands‑on, traveling position ideal for a highly skilled technician who specializes in SF6 gas‑insulated breakers and switchgear systems and takes pride in precision, safety, and reliability.

What You’ll Do
- Perform maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of SF6 circuit breakers and gas‑insulated switchgear
- Conduct SF6 gas handling, filling, reclaiming, and leak detection
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in high‑voltage equipment
- Execute breaker timing tests, insulation resistance testing, and related commissioning procedures
- Support substation outages, upgrades, and emergency response projects
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations
- Travel throughout Florida to various job sites
Travel & Schedule
- Travel required throughout the state of Florida
- Typical work schedule: 45–50 hours per week
- Must be willing to use personal vehicle for travel

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience working on SF6 breakers and switchgear
- Strong understanding of high‑voltage substation equipment
- Experience with breaker testing equipment and diagnostic tools
- Knowledge of SF6 gas handling procedures and environmental compliance
- Ability to work extended hours and travel consistently
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Preferred
- NETA certification or equivalent testing experience
- Substation commissioning experience
- Utility or EPC background
