Automotive Service Technician
Baker Chevrolet of Allegan is seeking to hire two candidates for this position. Service technician position offers top pay for qualified individuals. Closed on Saturday and Sunday to allow a work/life balance. Baker Chevrolet is the premier General Motors service department in Allegan. Our leadership, service advisors, and parts department are all aligned to help you be efficient and successful. Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with the dealership.
- Test drive vehicles, and test components & systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with service advisors so that customers can be informed of any additional services needed.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for current repair or any additional repairs needed.
- Executing repairs under warranty as outlined in manufacturers' specifications and requirements
Qualifications
- ASE certifications are ideal but not required
- Strong automotive background
- Strong teamwork values
- Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check upon hiring
- Must have a valid driver's license
