Entry Level Specimen Accessioner
$18.25 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks an Entry Level Specimen Accessioner for its Santa Fe laboratory facility. The role involves preparing, routing, and shipping biological specimens while maintaining accurate records and meeting production standards. Position operates Tuesday-Friday 9am-5:30pm and Saturday 10:30am-7pm with required overtime.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to designated staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to testing facilities
- Enter patient information into laboratory systems with accuracy and timeliness
- Resolve and document problem specimens according to departmental protocols
- Meet department activity and production goals while properly storing excess samples
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
- Pass standardized colorblind test
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
Compensation: $18.25/hr
