Purchasing CoordinatorThe Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for processing, tracking, and administrative duties pertaining to inbound and outbound freight within the Import Purchasing Department. May also have direct customer contact to assist in resolving issues and driving sales opportunities.Principle Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssists buyers in the tracking and tracing of ordersMaintains frequent communications with suppliers/providers to ensure efficiencies in information gatheringMaintains all tracking documents/spreadsheets for inbound freightAssists in developing reports and compiling market information for tradesPrepares various reports and correspondence on a regular basisAssists in processing reports, documents, and purchases in a timely mannerAssists in cost/rate retrieval for international freight lanesAssists in assigned special projectsPerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsMinimum Associate's degree or equivalent industry experience.Minimum of 2 years customer of service experience.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
