Traveling Crane Operator

Crane OperatorWe are seeking an experienced Crane Operator to work on our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget. As a key member of our team, the Crane Operator will work closely with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that projects are completed to the highest level of quality.ResponsibilitiesEnsure that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest level of qualityMaintain equipment and perform basic repairs as neededCommunicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budgetDevelop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlinesEnsure that all equipment is properly maintained and that safety procedures are followed at all timesIdentify and resolve issues that arise during construction projectsOther duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy equipment operation preferred3+ years of experience operating a crane, with experience in a construction setting preferredAbility to read and interpret construction plans and specificationsStrong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiencesStrong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvementExperience with government contracts and compliance is a plusEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
