Loan Processor

POSITION SUMMARYResponsible for preparing, reviewing, and processing loan documentation for consumer and commercial loans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements. Works closely with Loan Officers, Loan Assistants, and attorneys for timely and accurate loan closings, while supporting overall loan processing operations.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLoan Document Preparation and ProcessingPrepare commercial and consumer loan documents, including disclosures, using LaserProPrepare and deliver early disclosure documents within required timeframesReview loan documentation for accuracy prior to finalizationEnsure compliance with loan policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements before processing loansVerify all required documentation (insurance, title opinions, and other supporting documents) is received and accurate prior to loan preparationLoan Operations and DisbursementPrepare and process loan disbursements and related entriesManage attorney lines of credit, including advances, payments, updates, and balancingProcess tuition loan documents and assist with booking when neededPerform and support loan processing tasks related to closing preparation and executionCollateral and Account ManagementProcess and monitor collateral titling (including DMV, etc.) timely completion and avoid penaltiesBalance settlement accounts such as DMV and Wildlife & Fisheries accountsMaintain all loan-related collateral requirements and documentationCommunication and CoordinationCommunicate with closing attorneys to ensure accuracy of disbursements and documentationWork closely with Loan Officers, Loan Assistants, etc. to ensure accurate and timely loan processingAssist internal departments including Loan Operations, Compliance, and Commercial Lending as neededDocumentation and ReportingScan, label, and file loan documents appropriately in designated systemsMaintain organized and complete loan files and documentationPrepare month-end and other operational reports as requestedCustomer Service and Business SupportProvide excellent customer service to internal and external customersMaintain honesty, professionalism, and a high level of ethical standardsMaintain knowledge of bank products and services and cross-sell where appropriateAdditional DutiesAssist Loan Processing Manager, Compliance Officer, and other staff as neededFollow all bank, departmental, and security policies and proceduresPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in loan processing, loan operations, or related lending roleEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERREDKnowledge of loan processing systems (e.g., LaserPro)Knowledge of loan documentation and lending proceduresExperience working with closing attorneys or title companiesCOMMUNICATIONEffectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and customers in both verbal and written formats.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESProficiency in Microsoft Word and basic knowledge of Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and ability to proofread workAccurate and efficient typing skillsStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to analyze information and ensure compliance with policiesAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain professionalism and composure in challenging situationsAbility to build and maintain effective working relationshipsReliable transportationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWork Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PMRemote work is NOT available.
