HEALTH SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE – 64058527 Location: Florida Department of Health – Gadsden County Health Department, 278 LaSalle Leffall Dr., Quincy, FL 32351. Responsibilities Provide sexually transmitted disease, epidemiological, and consultative services. Act as front‑line defense for intervening in the spread of STDs and coordinate with physicians, hospitals, clinics, and laboratory personnel to confirm treatment and diagnosis of all reportable STDs. Operate and surveil activities involved in the control of STDs, especially syphilis, HIV, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. Interview, re‑interview and cluster interview persons infected or suspected of infection to identify contacts; perform field investigations to locate and arrange examination and treatment for contacts. Complete blood testing of contacts, suspects and associates as indicated; coordinate screening and ensure follow‑up testing and treatment. Maintain mechanisms to provide tests to cure (TOC) and subsequent re‑screening; conduct periodic site visits to providers for quality control. Provide HIV/AIDS/STI/PrEP prevention and education counseling; offer treatments for chlamydia; refer inmates at Gadsden County Jail for care. Deliver pre‑ and post‑counsel to HIV‑tested candidates, provide medications, administer directly observed therapy, and refer clients as appropriate. Develop, deliver, and evaluate education and prevention training programs to individuals, groups, and the community. Participate in surveys, interviews, and other information‑gathering activities requested by staff. Perform additional duties related to infectious disease response as assigned by management. Accurately document services electronically in HMS and STARS systems. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of the Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (FBCCEDP) requirements, including forms, application processes, enrollment, and Federal Poverty Guidelines. Proficiency in data tracking and spreadsheet creation. Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills. Benefits Annual and sick leave benefits.
