Job Summary Performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician. Assists the surgical team by preparing and managing equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe and efficient operating room environment. Ensures all necessary equipment is available and functioning properly. Ensures all necessary equipment is available and functioning properly. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program. Experience: Preferred one year as a Surgical Tech. Certification/Licensure: Must hold one of the following: Surgical Technician Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting Surgical Technician Certification by the National Center for Competency Testing United States Military or US Public Health Service Surgical Technology Program Additional Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, to be obtained within ninety days of hire. #J-18808-Ljbffr
