ICU Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Location

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7 PM - 7 AM (Night Shift) with rotating weekends.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care in a critical care environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Candidates should be adept at managing complex patient needs and able to handle various ICU procedures, such as intubations and central line placements.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Perform and assist with ICU procedures, including but not limited to central line placements, cardioversions, and intubations.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Maintain effective communication with healthcare team members and families regarding patient status and care plans.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Meditech.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the MICU or MSICU.
• Current Texas RN license (temporary licenses are not accepted).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• CCRN certification is preferred.
