Machine Operator/ Production Worker

Work Location Springfield, MO 65808

Position Details

Duration: Contract

• Shift: 2nd shift -3pm – 11pm and 3rd shift 11pm – 7am
• Pay Rate: $21.03/hour
• Site Tours: Required

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable and detail-oriented Machine Operator Assistants to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. In this role, you will assist with machine setup, operation, quality inspections, and routine maintenance while supporting production goals in a safe and efficient environment. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple production areas based on business needs and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, calibration, and operation of manufacturing equipment.
• Monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting using hand tools.
• Record production data, equipment downtime, and maintenance activities using computer systems.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve production issues.
• Follow work instructions and manufacturing processes with strong attention to detail.
• Support production targets while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years of stable manufacturing or production work experience.
• Strong attendance and reliability.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills for production documentation.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Basic math skills used in manufacturing.
• Willingness to work any shift in a rotating 3-shift environment.
• Ability to work overtime before or after scheduled shifts, including weekends, up to 12-hour workdays as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment that can be hot and humid during summer and fall.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a full-line manufacturing environment.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Successful completion of a background check.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
