An exciting opportunity awaits for a Board Certified Behavior Analyst to provide support and expertise as a maternity leave coverage at the elementary and middle school levels. This contract assignment offers a chance to impact the lives of students and collaborate with a dedicated educational team in a dynamic school environment.
This full-time role is expected to span from September 2026 through January 2027, working onsite with both elementary and middle school populations. Exact weekly hours and coverage responsibilities will be confirmed based on school site needs. The assignment will primarily be located at the elementary campus, with travel to the middle school as necessary.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
- Experience working within school settings, preferably with elementary and/or middle school students
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practices in behavior intervention and data collection
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and consultation skills
- Ability to adapt and support diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop individualized behavior intervention plans
- Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to implement and monitor behavior strategies
- Offer consultation, training, and support to staff and families as needed
- Collect and analyze behavioral data to ensure effective programming
- Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and student progress reviews
- Provide crisis intervention and on-the-spot guidance when needed
