Cook / Cocinero The Line Cook (English) / El Cocinero (Spanish) plays an essential role in food preparation and presentation in the kitchen. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that orders are prepared accurately and timely, while maintaining quality and presentation standards. Responsibilities Prepare food following the exact specifications of the chef and set up stations for the menu. Organize and stock stations with all necessary supplies. Prepare food for service (e.g., cutting vegetables and meat, preparing sauces). Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen staff. Respond to, report, and follow instructions from the executive chef or sous chef. Clean the station and handle leftover food. Properly store inventory. Ensure that food is served simultaneously, promptly, and of high quality. Comply with nutritional and sanitary regulations and safety standards. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Expectations Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
