This isn’t just a job, it’s a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.In the role of Resident Project Representative II, we'll count on you to: Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflictsReview accurate daily records of the inspector’s daily activities and the work performed, and compliance with building codeAttend and/or chair progress meetings with the contractor, owners representatives and clientsConduct observations of the installation and acceptance testing of completed equipment and systemsIdentify nonconforming work, develop project punchlists and maintain until correctedDevelop record documentation for engineer review/acceptanceWork under general supervision of a Project ManagerSupervise and direct the activities of administrative staff and Construction Inspectors, and subconsultants Preferred QualificationsProfessional license as Texas State Plumber or Electrical Inspector. ICC Certifications or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certificationAbility to lead a team of professional inspectors and staffAbility to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the engineer or project managerAbility to effectively communicate and maintain excellent client relationshipsExperience in coordinating with the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) Building Official and Fire Marshal.Experience in advanced manufacturing/industrial facilities.#LI-KT1QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience A minimum of 5 years progressive construction experience on multidisciplinary projects Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents Must be able to work in a team environment Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must Sponsorship (visa) for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this positionWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
