OneSKY will transform Australia’s sky and we are proud to be partners in its delivery.Your roleThis role exists to drive the digital transformation of Thales’ Engineering Environment by leading the migration of the Thales Orchestra Workbench to Polarion (cloud-based) and providing technical support for legacy systems, ensuring seamless System Engineering (SE) and IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation, and Qualification) processes. By enabling efficient toolchain administration, automation, and compliance, this role supports AMS’s vision of modernising engineering practices across all functions, products, and projects. As a System Processes Methods & Tools Support Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring:Successful migration and configuration of the Thales Orchestra Workbench (DOORS, Vivaldi, CMG, etc.) to Polarion (cloud-hosted) while maintaining data integrity and traceabilityTechnical support and maintenance of the legacy Thales Orchestra Workbench (on-premises) for ongoing projectsAdministration and automation of SE & IVVQ tools (Polarion, DOORS, Capella, Pure::Variants) to streamline development processesIncident tracking and troubleshooting using Jira, GitLab, and other tools to ensure compliance with Thales’ norms and processesTraining and knowledge sharing for teams on new tools, workflows, and best practicesCollaboration with the E2 team in France to align on SE and IVVQ support strategies.Your experienceTo be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:Formal qualification in Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experienceComprehensive technical expertise in:DOORS administration (data model management, DXL scripting)Polarion configuration (SE & IVVQ workflows, data models)Thales Orchestra Tools Suite administration (Vivaldi, CMG, Mozart, Capella, Pure::Variants, Link Manager)Proficiency in Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Git/GitLab, Power BiExperience with Linux (RedHat), Windows, Python, JavaKnowledge of Agile software development, virtualisation (VMware), and cybersecurity best practicesDrive progress proactively by identifying and removing blockers, anticipating risks, and navigating complexity to ensure timely deliveryChallenge assumptions and existing approaches constructively to improve efficiency and value deliveryMaintain momentum and agility by making practical decisions with available information and acting decisivelyBuild trust and collaboration through clear communication, active listening, and involving the right stakeholders at the right timeChampion digital transformation by promoting innovation, sustainability, and best practices in SE and IVVQ processesA Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.Additional information with regards to clearances is available from the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency website In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
