Job Summary The Production Lead is responsible for overseeing the timely and efficient flow of raw materials into high‑quality finished products; this may also include ensuring that equipment is maintained and in good repair. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Completes daily logs that are kept for cGMP's. Responsible for observing all Company safety rules and regulations, recognizing safety as a top priority. Assists the Production Supervisor and/or other personnel on special job duties or projects. Follows plant cGMP policies. Trains other plant personnel on PM's and daily work activities. Trains on the plant equipment to include the forklift, boom lifts, yard trucks, bob cat and back hoe. Maintains clean, neat and orderly work areas at all times. Uses assigned safety equipment including a hard hat, safety glasses or goggles, ear plugs and is familiar with and observes all Company safety rules and regulations. Attends regularly scheduled safety meetings and may serve on the Safety Committee. Performs all other duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent degree. Ability to lead and assume responsibility with personal initiative. Detail oriented, well organized, and able to multitask. Required to cross‑train in industrial electrical, mechanical, welding and cutting procedures. Preferred Qualifications Efficient in truck operations and backing trailers. Good communication skills both oral and written. Team player; works well with others. Good math skills. Ability to deal with all problems involving equipment and personnel. Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments such as high noise level, strong odors, and exposure to heat and cold. May involve exposure to bio‑hazardous conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical hazards and the use of potentially dangerous equipment. Travel to off‑site locations may be required. Physical Demands. Must be able to sit, walk, use hands to operate equipment, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl to maintain computers in the lab, and ascend/descend ladders. Must be able to talk, hear, taste and smell as required for communication and detecting hazardous conditions. Weight and force demands include lifting up to 10, 25, 50, 100 or more than 100 pounds, occasionally or frequently, and ability to maintain vision for close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focusing.
