We are seeking two full-time daytime Solid Tumor Oncology Hospitalists to join our team at our facility. The ideal candidates will be either board-certified or board-eligible physicians in Internal Medicine, dedicated to providing inpatient care for adults diagnosed with solid tumor malignancies. This role is strictly daytime, featuring 12-hour in-hospital shifts according to a set schedule, with no overnight responsibilities.

• Evaluate and admit patients from the emergency department, outpatient oncology clinics, and referring hospitals.
• Deliver inpatient medical management for adults with solid tumor malignancies.
• Assess and address acute medical issues and complications arising from cancer and its treatments.
• Respond to clinical changes and stabilize patients facing urgent or emergent medical situations.
• Initiate necessary diagnostic evaluations and treatment plans.
• Manage common oncology-related complications such as infections, febrile neutropenia, sepsis, pain, electrolyte imbalances, respiratory issues, and treatment-related toxicities.
• Coordinate consultations with relevant medical and surgical specialists.
• Maintain regular communication with each patient's outpatient oncology team regarding their inpatient care plan.
• Facilitate safe and efficient transitions between inpatient and outpatient oncology services.

• Work in partnership with medical oncologists, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, pharmacy, care management, and ancillary teams.
• Engage in multidisciplinary discussions concerning complex oncology cases.
• Provide clear verbal and written handoffs to the overnight clinical team.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record.
• Raise clinical or operational concerns to the appropriate leadership.

• Participate in initiatives focused on quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical reviews.
• Contribute to the education and mentorship of residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers as appropriate.

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Eligibility for an unrestricted medical license in Pennsylvania.
• Preferred experience in hospital medicine or caring for oncology patients.
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to multidisciplinary care.
