JOB TITLE: Jr. Accountant

REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager

SCHEDULE : Monday-Friday; 9am-5pm EST

SALARY : $22.50/hr - $27.50/hr

Job Summary : The Junior Accountant is responsible for overseeing daily cash deposits, bank transactions, outgoing payments, and all retail store AR responsibilities.

Job Requirements/Expectations:

• Post all daily bank transactions
• Record and reconcile all daily credit card, check, and cash transactions from catalog and retail sales.
• Process daily check deposits.
• Validate, code, and post all outgoing credit card transactions.
• Process outgoing payments - both checks and AMEX OneAP.
• Process 3rd party decorator commissions.
• Partner with the Customer Support Team to resolve customer chargeback issues.
• Oversee CertCapture certificate validations
• Send out AR statements for store and manage the collection process.
• Manage vendor set up and maintenance.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications :

• Two to four years of Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Account Payable experience or a combination of equivalent education and experience
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
• Microsoft Office
• Prior experience with SAP/SAP Business One preferred
• Attention to Detail
• Strong written/oral communication skills
• Time Management
• Organizational Skills
