Warehouse Associate I

McKenney's is looking for a dependable and motivated individual to join our warehouse team as a Warehouse Associate I. This is an entry-level position focused on supporting material handling, order staging, and warehouse organization. You will gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced construction logistics environment with opportunities for cross-training and advancement.

Job Responsibilities

• Unload incoming deliveries from vendors, identify materials, and coordinate storage of these materials in dedicated locations.
• Use iPhone and warehouse software (Warehouse Connect) to receive and remove material
• Pick and stage material for outbound shipments based on McKenney's dispatching software (TruckTicket)
• Perform quality checks to verify integrity of all materials and equipment in each inbound delivery
• Assist with tool room, trucking, or jobsite deliveries when needed
• Log hours worked per job and submit weekly time tickets
• Participate in daily safety practices, including Near Miss and Safety Observation reporting

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic computer and mobile device skills
• Ability to safely operate or learn to operate a forklift (training provided)
• Reliable, organized, and willing to learn

Preferred Requirements

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling
• Exposure to construction or warehouse environments

Working Conditions and Physical Efforts

• Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises.
• Work environment involves moderate exposure to construction warehouse hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
• Strong physical effort. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds and extensive climbing walking and standing.
