Why This Role Exists

• We are looking for a U.S.-based Senior Software Engineer who can become a trusted client-facing partner for our U.S. engagements.
• Our engineering team handles the majority of technical implementation and delivery. What we are looking for is someone who can bring strong communication, technical credibility, and an understanding of how U.S. clients expect consulting relationships to work.
• You will often be the person clients meet during discovery calls, technical discussions, project reviews, and important decision points.
• You do not need to spend your week managing developers or writing production code. Your role is to understand the client's business, communicate clearly, help shape technical conversations, and give clients confidence that their project is in capable hands.

What You’ll Do

• Join discovery calls and technical meetings with prospective and existing clients
• Build strong relationships with founders, executives, product leaders, and technical stakeholders
• Understand client goals, priorities, concerns, and project constraints
• Translate business discussions into clear technical direction for our internal engineering team
• Explain architecture, delivery decisions, timelines, and technical trade-offs in plain language
• Help set realistic expectations around scope, budget, features, and delivery
• Identify concerns early and help resolve communication gaps before they affect the project
• Support technical discovery and solution discussions during the sales process
• Participate in important project reviews, milestone discussions, and client escalations when needed
• Help clients feel informed and confident throughout the engagement
• Work closely with our internal technical and delivery teams before client meetings so you are fully prepared
• Support long-term account relationships and identify opportunities for future work

What This Role Is Not

• This is not a traditional full-time engineering position.
• You will not be expected to personally implement every feature, manage day-to-day development work, or spend large amounts of time preparing proposals and project documentation.
• Our internal team handles engineering execution, project research, technical preparation, and delivery operations.
• Your main value is your ability to combine technical experience with strong client communication.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering or technical leadership experience
• Experience as a Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, Solution Architect, Software Architect, Head of Engineering, CTO, or similar
• Based in the United States
• Strong spoken and written English
• Comfortable leading conversations with U.S. clients
• Strong understanding of software architecture and modern product development
• Familiarity with web applications, APIs, cloud platforms, databases, mobile applications, or AI-enabled products
• Ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
• Confidence discussing scope, timelines, costs, risks, and technical trade-offs
• Strong judgment when client expectations do not match technical or commercial constraints
• Professional, calm communication style
• Reliable follow-through and good preparation
• Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Nice to Have

• Previous consulting or agency experience
• Experience working with founders or executive stakeholders
• Background in technical pre-sales or solution consulting
• Experience with U.S.-based software clients
• Experience with SaaS, FinTech, eCommerce, mobile, or AI products
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience managing long-term client relationships

Time Commitment

• This is a part-time and highly flexible position.
• The typical commitment is approximately 2 to 5 hours per week, depending on the number of active client engagements.
• There are no fixed daily working hours. Most of your involvement will center around scheduled client meetings, discovery calls, project reviews, and occasional technical discussions.
• This role can work well alongside an existing full-time position, consulting practice, or other professional commitments, provided there are no conflicts with your current employment.

• You will not be expected to walk into meetings without preparation.

• Our engineering team remains responsible for the execution and technical workload behind each engagement.

Compensation

• This role is designed around a performance-based compensation model connected to the client engagements you support.
• Compensation can grow as you become involved with additional accounts, while the weekly time commitment remains relatively limited.
• Specific compensation structure and engagement terms will be discussed directly with qualified candidates before any work begins.
• There are no application fees, equipment purchases, or upfront payments required from candidates.
