Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

A healthcare organization in the Bronx is seeking a qualified Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support nursing leadership and ensure the highest standards of resident care. Key Responsibilities Support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in overseeing clinical operations and maintaining quality care standards Conduct weekly wound and skin assessments Promote compliance with regulatory standards and ensure clear communication across all nursing levels Address and manage the medical needs of residents Participate in an on‑call rotation (24/7 coverage as needed) Assist in planning, coordinating, and directing nursing services Maintain strong working knowledge of nursing theory and clinical practices Ensure timely and accurate completion of medical documentation Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff Oversee daily staffing coordination Monitor and support infection control protocols Maintain schedule flexibility to meet operational demands Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a long‑term care setting Prior management experience (preferred) Experience in staff education (preferred) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities Willingness to work flexible hours as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr Skilled Nursing of Bronx
