About the Position

Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026 (additional start dates available: October 26, November 9)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts (0700-1930), weekend rotation and holidays as needed. 4:1 patient ratio. Assignment length: 13-17 weeks available.

• Work on a 28-bed General Surgery unit specializing in complex abdominal surgeries including colorectal, surgical oncology, and emergency general surgeries

• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Gain experience with high-acuity post-operative patients including ostomy care, wound management, PCAs, epidurals, and TPN administration

• 20 hours of orientation with two pre-approved time-off periods available

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date (strict passing criteria apply: 100% identification of lethal rhythms, 80% overall passing score)
• Community hospital, LTAC, or Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• Current flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
