Occupational Therapist (OT) - Ortho/Sports Med

Responsibilities Plan and administer occupational therapy treatment plans designed to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and promote overall fitness and health of patients. Serve as a role model in the delivery of professional services and as a clinical resource for staff and students. Demonstrate safe and appropriate body mechanics to reduce the risk of injury to self, staff, and patients. Perform patient transfers with assistance as needed from bed, chair, and floor. Create, modify, and fit custom splints and orthotics. Educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods. Evaluate clinical findings, determine diagnoses, and develop plans of care. Perform examinations selecting reliable and valid methods relevant to chief complaints, screening results, and patient history. Use support personnel in accordance with legal standards and ethical guidelines. Communicate with the medical team. Meet customer service and productivity standards. Serve as a clinical instructor when assigned. Qualifications Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in Illinois, certified by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (required). Relevant work experience in occupational therapy (specific experience not specified).
