Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity making a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This full-year assignment starts Tuesday, September 8, 2026, and continues through Thursday, June 24, 2027. You’ll work at a supportive special education site near Angola, NY, with daily hours from 7:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Each week, you’ll manage a manageable caseload with a maximum of 40 half-hour sessions, providing ample time for individualized attention and meaningful progress.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Eligibility for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Dedication to fostering student growth and supporting diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans based on individual student goals and IEP requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student progress and educational outcomes
- Document session outcomes, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
- Incorporate engaging therapeutic strategies to motivate and empower students
