Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) located in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. This role involves providing preoperative and postoperative care to diverse patient populations, including general, gynecology, orthopedic, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, hand, pain clinic, and endoscopy patients. Candidates must bring their professional license on the first day and possess at least two years of relevant clinical experience.

Job Details:

• Location: Rice Lake, Wisconsin
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required
• Education/Experience: Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in preoperative and postoperative care; must hold active certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Schedule:
  • Preoperative shift: 06:30 AM 03:00 PM
  • Late shift: 08:00 AM 04:30 PM each day department is open
  • Call shift: 08:30 AM 05:00 PM (or until last patient is discharged), with clock-out if no patients after shift end
  • No weekends or weekend call; unit is closed every other Monday
  • Every other Monday: department closed to elective cases; one circulator and one surgical tech on beeper call from 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM, scheduled on rotation
  • The shift hours are 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week required
• Responsibilities:
  • Provide care in preoperative and postoperative settings
  • Monitor telemetry in PACU and procedure rooms
  • May float to operating room if experienced (not required)
  • Support airway management in anesthesia, with rare use of BiPAP
  • Responsible for clocking in and out at the facility
• Additional Information:
  • Local candidates within 80 miles of the facility will receive the local rate
  • Client rates are reduced by $8.00/hour for eligible candidates
  • No minimum experience beyond the required clinical background; specifics state 0 years, but the preferred experience is 2 years
  • Must note if previously worked for Marshfield, with an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
  • Candidates must clock in and out at the facility
